X-Factor's Mary Byrne guest stars as 'Teen Angel' in Dublin


Irish singing sensation Mary Byrne is to make her stage debut as ‘Teen Angel’ when the tour of the smash-hit musical reaches the Dublin from 9- 27 August 2011.

Mary rose to fame in 2010 after becoming a semi-finalist on the seventh series of ITV1’s The X Factor. Watched by millions, she wowed audiences with her stunning performances week-after-week and then signed a record deal with Sony Records. Her debut album ‘Mine & Yours’, spent 2 weeks at the number 1 spot and, at the time of writing, 8 weeks in the top 5 of the Irish music charts. The album was produced by hit-maker Nigel Wright who has worked with stars such as Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey and Andrew Lloyd Webber. This year, Mary has also been invited to sing at a special concert before H.M The Queen's, celebrating her first state visit to Ireland and also to appear as a special guest for Neil Diamond at the Aviva Stadium. Mary joins the the cast of Grease, where she will spend her ‘Summer Nights’ singing her way into audiences’ hearts alongside Danny Bayne as “Danny&rsdquo; and Carina Gillespie as “Sandy&rsdquo;.
